Health Screening on Wheels at Your Workplace

Health screening is now at your doorstep, with the Health Promotion Board (HPB) sending a mobile screening bus out to workplaces, targeting small and medium firms in industrial estates.

For only $8, employees aged 40 and above can easily check for chronic diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. The entire process takes 30 minutes.

The screening comes with a personal health report, and those with less than normal results will be reminded, via phone call, to visit a doctor (likely their company doctor, family doctor or a Chronic Disease Management Programme-registered (CDMP) GP clinic).

To further support workplace health promotion at Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), a grant can be applied up to 90% of the cost of their workplace health promotion programme, capped at $10,000. This is an extension of the WHP Grant given by the HPB to spur SMEs to start and sustain their workplace health promotion programmes for the benefit of staff well-being and productivity.

Better prevention than cure. Health is indeed wealth.
